While there are numerous advantages to pursuing a career in cybersecurity, there are also significant challenges. Every benefit can turn into a drawback, depending on your personality and preferences.

Lack of Standardization
There is no universal standard for cybersecurity roles (though some frameworks exist, they’re not widely adopted). The expectations for a cybersecurity professional vary greatly across organizations.
For instance, Dhanush at Company X might focus solely on securing cloud infrastructure. Meanwhile, cybersecurity professionals at Company Y could be tasked with incident response and threat hunting, while those at Company Z might also handle compliance and audits, resembling traditional risk management roles.
One of my friend interviewed for a position that was 50% cybersecurity analyst and 50% network administrator — a rare combination, but such roles exist.
